Insomnia

I have been suffering from insomnia of late, and upon reasearching this, i find that this is not uncommon for the Kundalini practitioner, and that it should be seen as a blessing for one can meditate all night long in perfect conditions.

So upon learning this I decided last night not to try and fight it, but instead to go along with the flow and see where it took me. Well I didn't get a Kundalini surge which I was half expecting, but at 4am I got a very different expereince to those I have had before. I started hearing a buzzing in my ears which grew in volume and seemed to encircle me.

Once this happend I found myself thrust into a very vivid dream. The contents of which were weird and I can't say I understand them, so I will not repeat them here, but I will say that I found the dreams very pleasant and spiritually uplifting.

When I got up this morning I found myself to be in good spirits and despite not having a good night's sleep I felt refreshed and ready for the day. I'm now so pleased that I researched this phenomenon and chose to go with the insomnia and use it, rather than to fight it.

What actually is insomnia?
